  1. What are Values Vault cards?
    • Values Vault cards are a tool designed to help you identify and prioritize your core values. By sorting through a deck of cards with different values and definitions, you can gain clarity on what truly matters to you and use these insights to guide your decisions and actions.
  2. How do I use the Values Vault cards?
    • You can use the cards in several ways. Start by selecting the deck that fits your needs—whether personal, career-related, or a deep dive into all values. Sort the cards into categories based on how important each value is to you, and reflect on how these values influence your decisions and behavior. The process helps you align your life with what truly matters.
  3. Why are there so many cards?
    • After years of using a smaller deck (around 80 cards), I gathered feedback from clients who suggested additional values that were missing. When I set out to create my own deck, I wanted to make it as exhaustive as possible, including every value I could think of (and I’m sure I’m still missing some). I believe sorting what isn't valuable to you is just as insightful as sorting what is. The decks are designed so you can choose a smaller set of cards if the full deck feels overwhelming, making it adaptable to your needs.
  4. What do the graphics on the cards mean?
    • The graphics, categories, and card colors are meant to help you intuitively sort and narrow down your values. I noticed when people were narrowing down their piles to their top five, they naturally grouped cards into categories so they could choose one card to represent the category. The graphics are there to make this process quicker and easier, helping you spot themes as you sort. As you work through your choices, you'll often notice these themes emerging, giving you a deeper insight into what your personal core values truly are.
  5. What is the difference between the Basic Deck, Personal Deck, and Career Deck?
      • The Basic Deck contains core values that apply to all areas of life (personal and career related).
      • The Personal Deck is designed to help you explore values related to your personal life, relationships, and growth.
      • The Career Deck focuses on values relevant to your professional life, including work-related goals, career decisions, and organizational values.
      • The Expanded Deck is where Values Vault really shines in allowing for a comprehensive deck of values to really find the perfect group to define your core values.
  6. Can I use these cards with my partner or family?
    • Absolutely! The cards can be used by individuals, couples, or families. In a relationship or family context, using the cards can help identify shared values, improve communication, and align on important decisions. It’s a great way to build understanding and strengthen connections.
  7. Do I need to be a therapist to use these cards?
    • No! Values Vault Cards are for anyone interested in understanding and aligning with their core values. While therapists can use the cards in their practice, the cards are designed to be user-friendly and can be used by anyone seeking personal growth, self-awareness, or professional development.

  9. Who made this deck?
    • The Values Vault Cards were created by Aly Webster, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with years of experience helping individuals explore their core values and make meaningful life decisions. The deck is based on years of feedback from clients and a desire to provide a more comprehensive tool than anything that was available before. She wanted something that was beautiful, insightful, and covering the full range of values.
